Three consecutive Saturdays. Each session builds on the previous one. Attend all three for the complete business framework, or join individual sessions if one topic is your primary focus.
The first session addresses how photographers price their work and structure client agreements. We start with the fundamental shift from hourly thinking to deliverable thinking, then work through package construction, usage licensing basics, and contract essentials.
You'll work through a pricing exercise using your own current rates as a starting point. By the end, you'll have a framework you can take home and apply.
Session two looks at how your portfolio website works as a business tool and how client communication during the editing process affects both satisfaction and repeat business. We examine real photographer websites as a group and discuss what's working and what isn't.
Bring your portfolio URL. The group review portion is consistently one of the most useful parts of the workshop.
The third session covers how photographers can generate income from their existing work through stock licensing and print sales. We compare platforms, discuss keywording strategy, walk through print fulfillment options, and spend time evaluating what's in your archive.
The session ends with a 90-day planning exercise where each participant maps out their next steps across all three topic areas.
